UPHSL BS Criminology program is dedicated to produce graduates who:

  1. can deliver efficient and effective services in the field of criminology and criminal justice administration;
  2. are respectful and protector of human rights;
  3. are globally competitive in the field of criminology and criminal justice administration;
  4. foster the value of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving the community and the country;
  5. are service and research oriented criminologists and criminal justice professionals; and
  6. are continually engage in life-long learning and professional development through continuing professional education.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
 
Graduates receiving the B.S. Degree in Criminology are expected to:

  1. Engage in lifelong learning and understand the need to keep abreast with the development in the fields of practice;
  2. Communicate effectively;
  3. Work effectively and independently in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams;
  4. Practice professional, social and ethical attitudes, values and responsibilities;
  5. Appreciate and value “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” and uphold the constitutional and statutory guarantees;
  6. Apply knowledge essential to the conduct of criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior;
  7. Apply knowledge, skills essentials to the practice of crime detection and investigation and field of criminalistics;
  8. Apply knowledge, skills in criminal law, evidence and procedures;
  9. Apply knowledge, skills in law enforcement administration; and
  10. Apply knowledge, skills in handling offenders, welfare and development for the re-integration to the community.
