UPHSL Empowers Local Community Through Livelihood Training Seminar

Biñan, Laguna – The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna (UPHSL) hosted a Livelihood Training Seminar on December 7, 2022, at its Basic Education Department. Organized by the College of International Hospitality Management in partnership with the Community Outreach Department and the International and External Affairs Office, the seminar aimed to equip local community members with essential skills to support sustainable income generation, financial independence, and economic self-sufficiency.


Open to individuals outside the university, the hands-on training event provided practical skills beneficial for entrepreneurial and career growth. "We were honored to organize this seminar to empower participants with skills for sustainable income generation," shared the organizing team. "This event was a meaningful part of our mission to support community development, offering individuals the knowledge and practical expertise needed to pursue entrepreneurial and career opportunities."

Participants received training in areas such as culinary arts, digital literacy, and small business management. Each session focused on skills that would directly contribute to their employability and capacity for self-sufficiency, reflecting UPHSL’s commitment to enhancing economic opportunities in the local community.
