The University of Perpetual Help System - Laguna Receives a Plaque of Recognition From CHED

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) awarded the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna a plaque of recognition. This was given to formally acknowledge UPHSL’s efforts in providing free training on flexible learning for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) during the implementation of CHED’s Hi-Ed Bayanihan Project.

Even prior to the pandemic, UPHSL has always championed online teaching as a sustainable strategy for modern education. It is even more crucial in the ‘next normal’, as proven by the disruptive events brought on by COVID-19. Teachers must learn how to navigate an online mode of instruction efficiently and confidently.

In response to this need, UPHSL developed a Comprehensive Training Program using Moodle as Learning Management System (LMS) with Theoretical Assessment, Practical Assessment, and Certification. Recognizing this initiative, the CHED Hi-Ed Bayanihan Project tapped UPHSL as a facilitator of a free webinar on the smooth transition to hybrid learning for the AY 2020-2021. This was attended by faculty members from HEIs all over CALABARZON.
