Building Global Competence: UPHSL Engages in AUN-QA Training in Thailand

The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna (UPHSL) proudly takes a step forward in advancing its academic standards as two esteemed representatives, Dr. Genevieve C. Realon, Assistant School Director, and Dr. Ernesto A. Serrano Jr., Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, participates in the prestigious AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance) Training Course in Bangkok, Thailand.

Commencing today, January 20, 2025, and running until January 24, 2025, this intensive training focuses on the AUN-QA program assessment process, a vital framework for ensuring and enhancing the quality of higher education programs with international recognition.

This event marks the second batch of UPHSL trainees, following the first batch held on April 2-5, 2024, which includes the UPHSL Executive School Director, Dr. Ferdinand C. Somido, and the College of Computer Studies Dean, Mr. Oliver Junio. They are now preparing for the TIER 2 Training in March 2025.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge on applying AUN-QA criteria to academic programs, identifying key areas for improvement, and aligning institutional goals with global standards. The training is conducted by renowned AUN-QA experts, including:

  • –  Dr. Clarita D. Carillo from the University of Sto. Tomas-Manila, Philippines
  • –  Dr. Ornlatcha Sivarak from Mahidol University International College, Thailand
  • –  Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuc from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
