An online seminar was held by the College of Education in celebration of its “Education Day 2021” last April 5, 2021 with the theme “ Educare: To lead, To care, To educate”.
The seminar started at 8:00 o’clock in the morning participated by all education students and professors of UPHSL and faculty members from South Horizon Academy, Binan city. The event was also live via Facebook of the Educare Alpha Omicron (EAO), the leading student organization by the college. The program began with an opening prayer lead by Jhoemari Mojica, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and UPHSL Hymn. The opening remarks was then given by the President of EAO, Shannel Padilla. The Dean of the College of Education delivered the Inspirational message which left us with heartfelt and profound message. The introduction of the guest speaker was delivered by Prof. Albert Rocero, a faculty of the college of education who presented a short and meaningful video introduction about the speaker’s most passionate and interesting advocacies in line with teaching.
Mrs Eden Gutierrez Suplente, a faculty member and Grade 8 Head teacher of Colegio San Agustin, Makati City and a national lecturer at Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC) shed light on the events’ theme. She further radiates her passion and love for teaching through different strategies that would make teaching fun and meaningful which exemplified her long and exciting journey in the teaching profession. Her skills and love for teaching serves as an inspiration to our future educators.
It was an engaging and interactive webinar which lasted until 11:15am. The closing remarks was done by the secretary of EAO Roselle Anne Sigue.
