IEAO Strengthens University-Industry Linkages Through Sponsorships for Mr. and Ms. UPHSL 2025 Coronation Night

The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna (UPHSL) celebrated another milestone in partnership-building as the International and External Affairs Office (IEAO), headed by Director Dr. Josefa G. Carrillo, successfully secured generous sponsorships for the Mr. and Ms. UPHSL 2025 Coronation Night held last Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Performing Arts Theatre of UPHSL Biñan Campus.

The coronation night, one of the most anticipated highlights of University Week, became even more vibrant and meaningful through the strong collaborations forged by the IEAO with respected industry partners. Dr. Carrillo’s active coordination brought in organizations that not only supported the event but also confirmed their commitment to UPHSL’s mission of shaping well-rounded and future-ready Perpetualites.

Max’s Restaurant was among the first partners to extend support, providing a 7-pax meal for the panel of judges, along with a year-long ten percent (10%) discount for all UPHSL students and employees at their Biñan branch. This collaboration shows Max’s continuing engagement with the university’s student-focused endeavors.

AETOS Financial/Manulife further elevated the evening by offering One Million Pesos (?1,000,000.00) worth of accidental insurance coverage to each of the Grand Winners of Mr. and Ms. UPHSL 2025, an inspiring gesture that reflects their commitment to promoting student welfare and recognizing the achievements of young leaders.

MSI Modeling School added an exciting opportunity for the winners by providing a Ten Thousand Pesos (?10,000.00) scholarship, shared between Mr. and Ms. UPHSL 2025, and inviting them to walk as featured models in the Christmas Catwalk: Fashion with a Heart on December 7, 2025 at Pavilion Mall. This collaboration opens doors for Perpetualite students to experience the creative and fashion industries.

BPI Ayala Westgrove helped reached the celebration by offering a 2-day, 1-night staycation at Berkeley Suites for the Grand Winners and presenting the Ambassador of Integrity and Innovation Award, recognizing candidates who exemplify strong values and meaningful advocacy. During University Week, BPI also made f inancial services more accessible by allowing UPHSL students and employees to open a No Maintaining Balance ATM Account with just a minimal initial deposit.

In addition, DITO Telecommunity rounded up the lineup of valued sponsors by enriching the celebration of University Week by providing ten (10) tents, a festive balloon arch, and energetic sky dancers for use in the UPHSL Quadrangle and Oval. They also contributed six sets of prizes, including portable fans, earphones, notebooks, ballpens, notepads, and string bags, as well as 1,000 f ree SIM cards for students and employees, adding excitement and value to the weeklong festivities.

These partnerships, thoughtfully facilitated by the IEAO, played a major role in the success of the coronation night. Beyond the prizes and sponsorships, the event became a celebration of UPHSL’s expanding network of collaborators who believe in the university’s mission and its students’ potential.

The evening concluded with spirited performances, resounding cheers, and strengthened ties between UPHSL and its partner organizations. As Dr. Carrillo and the IEAO continue to broaden the university’s linkages, the Mr. and Ms. UPHSL 2025 Coronation Night stands as a shining example of how purposeful partnerships can enrich campus life and elevate student experiences.
