Brigada Eskwela 2024

“Brigada Eskwela 2024 Begin with Compassion, Commitment and Community Spirit”

On July 30, 2024, the halls of Pedro H. Escueta Memorial Elementary School were filled with vibrant energy and excitement as Brigada Eskwela 2024 officially commenced. At the heart of this inspiring kick-off was a collaborative outreach spearheaded by the UPH-Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University Alumni Association Inc., alongside passionate partners—iChange, the Nightingale Society, and the periOperative Registered Nurses of the Philippines, Inc. (ORNAP).

This initiative was not just about preparing classrooms or distributing supplies—it was about igniting hope, nurturing dreams, and reinforcing the values of care and service that every child deserves to experience.

Under the guiding light of the medical alumni, Nightingale’s Promise of Care, volunteers, composed of students, and community partners, came together with one goal: to make a difference. From the meticulous process of sorting and packing school supplies to the cheerful and heartwarming distribution, every step was filled with dedication and teamwork. The school grounds became a place of unity, where smiles were exchanged as freely as notebooks and crayons, and laughter echoed alongside messages of encouragement.

Beyond providing educational materials, the volunteers emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, especially handwashing, through short demonstrations and interactive discussions with the students. Each child was also given a bottle of alcohol to support proper sanitation—a small but meaningful step toward promoting public health within the school community.

The activity would not have been as fulfilling without the heartfelt efforts of NPC Vice President Internal, Badz, who generously provided delicious food that fueled the volunteers throughout the day. Every packed meal served as a reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how simple, nourish not only the body but also the soul.

As Brigada Eskwela 2024 continues, may the efforts displayed at Pedro H. Escueta Memorial Elementary School inspire many others to step forward and take part in building a brighter, more inclusive, and empowered future—one student, one classroom, and one kind act at a time.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the generous donors whose contributions laid the foundation for this initiative. Their support went beyond financial aid—it was an investment in the future of young learners, a gesture that reminded each child that they are seen, valued, and supported by an entire community.

This day marked more than just the beginning of a new school year. It was a celebration of unity, service, and hope. It highlighted how different sectors of society can come together to uplift the most vulnerable, build confidence in the youth, and create an environment where learning thrives hand in hand with love and care.
