Empowering Inclusive Education Stregnthening Classroom Support for Persons with Disabilities
The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna is set to conduct a meaningful and timely training titled “Empowering Inclusive Education: Strengthening Classroom Support for Persons with Disabilities,” exclusively designed for faculty members. Scheduled on December 3, 2024, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Performing Arts Theater, this initiative aims to enhance teachers’ competencies in handling diverse learners, particularly students with disabilities.
The event emphasizes the vital role of educators in fostering inclusive and student-centered classrooms. Through this training, faculty members will gain a deeper understanding of various types of disabilities, appropriate teaching strategies, classroom accommodations, and supportive interventions that promote accessibility and equitable learning. The imagery featured in the poster—students with prosthetic limbs actively participating in creative tasks—reminds educators that every learner possesses unique strengths and talents that can flourish when provided with proper support.
By equipping teachers with the knowledge and tools necessary for inclusive education, the University strengthens its commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind. This training serves as a professional development opportunity that empowers faculty members to become more responsive, compassionate, and adaptive in addressing the needs of Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
Ultimately, the program underscores the importance of collaboration, empathy, and innovation in teaching—core values that will help transform the classroom into a safe, accessible, and empowering space for all students.
