PERPETUALIFE: WAVES OF HEALING
In times of crisis, the true heart of the Perpetualite shines. This was once again proven through PerpetuaLIFE: One Heart, One Goal, a compassionate initiative by the Community Outreach Department and the Perpetualite Nation Builders (PNB) that extended much-needed support to the families affected by the devastating residential fire at Sitio Pulo, Brgy. Dela Paz, Biñan, Laguna. The donation drive was launched in two powerful waves, each amplifying the call to serve and uplift.
From the foundation laid by Perpetualite Hands of Hope: We Give, We Thrive, Donation Drive, the first wave of PerpetuaLIFE took place with strong support from the Human Resource Department, headed by Ms. Olga Salcedo, SIKAP (Nicole Tanael), and a team of passionate UPHSL student-volunteers.
The initial efforts saw the collection and distribution of relief goods, clothing, and hygiene kits, all aimed at restoring dignity and comfort to those displaced by the fire.
Wave 2: Keeping the Flame of Service Alive
On March 21, 2025, the second wave of PerpetuaLIFE reignited the spirit of bayanihan. Volunteers returned to Sitio Pulo to continue the mission of healing and rebuilding. Strengthened by the lessons and successes of the first wave, this second round deepened the impact of the initiative. With renewed energy and increased support, it emphasized the long-term commitment of Perpetualites to stand with their fellow Filipinos beyond the immediate aftermath of disaster.
More than an outreach event, PerpetuaLIFE is a movement of hearts—an embodiment of the University's commitment to nation-building and servant leadership. Through every donation, every visit, and every smile shared, the Perpetualite community affirmed that their mission does not end in the classroom; it extends to the very heart of the nation.
Both waves of PerpetuaLIFE served as a shining example of what it means to be a Perpetualite: selfless, courageous, and united in faith. Through the generous hands and open hearts of volunteers and supporters, hope was rekindled in Sitio Pulo.
PerpetuaLIFE: One Heart, One Goal stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Perpetualite community. With every wave of outreach, the mission deepens—not only to respond in moments of need but to walk alongside communities as they rebuild their lives. These two waves may have ended, but the ripple effect of kindness, courage, and unity continues. For when Perpetualites come together with one heart and one goal, no fire is too great, no challenge too daunting. They are, and always will be, helpers of God—guiding the way forward through love in action.
