UPHSL gains Global Recognition in Key Academic Rankings

The University of Perpetual System Laguna has been recognized for being one of the institutions that lead in the field of education for making a breakthrough by being awarded 4 QS Stars by the renowned QS Intelligent Unit. Recognized globally, the University highlights its unwavering dedication to providing a quality education that emphasizes its commitment to quality education. The QS Stars rating system, an initiative by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, is a highly regarded benchmark that evaluates a University’s performance across multiple areas. UPHSL has received 5 Stars in Teaching, Employability, Facilities, and Good Governance; 4 Stars in Social Impact and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and 3 Stars in Academic Development, Global Engagement, and Psychology. This recognition reflects the constant pursuit of the University in providing holistic and globally competitive education.

In the 2025 World University Rankings of Innovation, also known as WURI, the University has demonstrated a notable presence, evaluating 1,253 universities from 87 countries securing the 15th spot for University Branding and Reputation entitled Character Building is Nation Building: Market Positioning Strategies of UPHSL written by Dr. Peter S. Estellore, the UPHSL’s Corporate Marketing Director, Top 17 for Empowerment-Based Management and Sustainability entitled "EMPOWER (Enhancing Management Practices through Organizational Workplace, Empowerment, and Relationships) Project written by Dr. Josefa Carillo, UPHSL’s International and External Affairs Director, ranked as Top 17 for Funding for Sustainability entitled UPHSL FUNRUN: Innovative Community Fun Fitness as a Catalyst for Sustainable Fundraising written also by Dr. Peter S. Estellore. Furthermore, UPHSL was recognized among the Global Top 400 Innovative Universities, placing 271st.
Marking another milestone, UPHSL was included in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, landing within the 1001–1500 bracket, measuring how universities worldwide contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UPHSL ranked as 601-800 for SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, which advances in healthcare education and services. Placing as Rank 1000-150: Quality Education which fosters accessible, inclusive, and transformative learning for all. Ranked 801-1000 for SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. These achievements show how UPHSL continues to make a difference in shaping the lives of Perpetualites through education, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable growth that benefits both the local community and the global stage.

Adding to these achievements, UPHSL also made its mark in the AD Scientific Index 2025, where it proudly ranked first among private universities in CALABARZON and secured the top spot in Laguna. On a national scale, the University placed ninth overall. This recognition reflects the impact of researchers, shining a light on UPHSL’s growing role in shaping knowledge, driving innovation, and contributing to the global academic community.
