UPHSL Earns Multiple National and Global Recognitions at PACUCOA 36th Annual General Assembly

The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna (UPHSL), under the leadership of Chancellor Dr. Ferdinand C. Somido and Vice Chancellor Dr. Genevieve C. Realon, together with Dr. Josefa G. Carrillo, Director for International and External Affairs, and the University’s Deans and Department Heads, proudly participated in the PACUCOA 36th Annual General Assembly and 52nd Founding Anniversary organized by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), held on December 5, 2025.

The event marked another historic milestone for UPHSL as it was recognized as one of the country’s most awarded and globally recognized institutions. During the assembly, UPHSL was honored for having the highest number of accredited programs in Region IV, including the distinction of being the first institution in the region to achieve Level IV Accredited Status for its Pharmacy and Dentistry programs. The University likewise ranked as the 3rd highest in the Philippines in terms of the number of accredited programs.

Adding to its growing international reputation, UPHSL received a Four-Star QS Stars Rating from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and earned inclusion in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, with notable placements in key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being (Rank 601–800), SDG 4: Quality Education (Rank 1001–1500), SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth (Rank 801–1000), and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals (Rank 801–1000).

Further strengthening its reputation for excellence, UPHSL also received the highest number of Quality and Sustainability Seal Awards across multiple academic programs, including education, business, engineering, information technology, psychology, and graduate studies. The University was likewise commended for having the biggest delegation during the assembly, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Through these achievements, UPHSL continues to champion academic excellence, innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness, solidifying its standing as one of the premier institutions in Region IV-A and in the Philippines.
